Bulgarian Musical Instruments

Traditional Bulgarian musical instruments can be divided into three large groups: single and two voice wind instruments (pipe, shepherd's pipe or wooden flute /kaval/, bagpipe) string instruments (rebec, pandore), and percussion instruments (drum).
Instrumental folk music rests on vocal performance and conforms to the respective instrument.
