* Non-working days in Bulgaria are the legal holidays and all Saturdays and Sundays. Since 2007 Bulgaria has introduced what may be called  "bridge holidays". In order to make a longer weekend, when a public holiday falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, the Monday, Tuesday or Friday is sometimes fixed as an official holiday, while specified working Saturdays compensate the extra non-working day.
