Bulgarian philately traditionally celebrates anniversaries
of important persons in world culture by issuing special postage stamps.
The first issue of this type, planned for 1998, is already a fact. On 10
February the posts offered to the public a stamp, an illustrated print-stamped
envelope, and a special postmark on the occasion of the 100th birthday
anniversary of the eminent German playwright Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956).
Designer of the postage stamp is Stefan Despodov. Its nominal price is
120 levs, its measures - 25x40 mm, and its circulation - 1 million pieces.
