He graduated from the Higher Institute of Economics in Varna, with a degree in Industrial Economics, and worked as Chief Accountant with various enterprises. 1988 - 1991 - Assistant Rector in charge of the economic policy at the Technical University in Plovdiv. Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Democratic Forum Party. 1992 - 1993 - Deputy Chairman of the UDF's local Co-ordinating Council in Plovdiv. He is member of the National Co-ordinating Council. Radev was elected member of the National Executive Council at the Ninth National Conference of the UDF held in February 1997. Deputy to the 37th National Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the Budgetary and Finance Committee. 1997 - MP in the 38th National Assembly from the UDF. Minister of Finance in the Kostov cabinet, appointed on 21 May 1997. Mouravei Radev was also Bulgaria's Governor at the World Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Consolidation Company. Married, with two children. |
