This is a one-colour bowl. Its luster is due to the restoration work. The number of notches follows no apparent regularity, but they do look harmonious.

The bowl is too small to serve food from. It must have been either intended for ritual usage, or used as a drinking bowl.

"high cylinder-necked bowl decorated with incised patterns from horizon VII of the Large Island settlement mound on the Durankulak Lake (the middle of the 5th millennium B.C.) - culture Hamangia IV".
